THE ZONING FROM S-A (SUBURBAN -
AGRICULTURE) TO C -G (GENERAL -
COMMERCIAL) IN A PORTION OF
SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 15 N.,
RANGE 23 E., W.M., GRANT COUNTY
RESOLUTION NUMBER 95 -56 -CC

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County has been
advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on March
1, 1995 on the matter of changing the zoning from Suburban -Agriculture to General Commercial
in a portion of said Section 34, Township 15 North, Range 23 East, W.M. and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having said recommendation,
has given notice this matter would be considered at their regular meeting on April 4, 1995.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners having received additional
information from concerned citizens has set a Public Hearing on April 25, 1995.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners after reviewing additional
information have approved a motion to deny the application for zone change on the following
described property:
Lot 5, Carroll Acres in a portion of the South one-half of the Southwest one-quarter of
Section 34, Township 15 North, Range 23 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington in the
vicinity of the intersection of County Roads `U' and `24' S.W. near Mattawa.
Findings of Fact are as follows:
1. Proposed zoning is not consistent with surrounding zoning of this plat.
2. Proposal is outside the Town of Mattawa's proposed Urban Growth Boundary area.
3. Proposal would constitute a `spot zone'
