COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS
Week of July 3,1995
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by
Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding bid award
recommendation -Bridge No. 130, 'R' NE Rd., '1' NW -Improvement, Shop/Office-Status
report.
The Commissioners awarded the bid on Bridge #130, 'R' NE Rd. CRP 93-9 to
Chris' Excavation in the amount of $125,982.39.
The Commissioners approved the request by Grant County District Court for the
purchase of a shelving unit in the amount of $849.78.
The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer of funds in the Capital
Outlay Department in the amount of $2,675.
The Commissioners approved out of State travel for Scott Stevens of the Juvenile
Department to travel to Polson, Montana for training regarding electronic monitoring.
The Commissioners were notified that Karen Maib of the Cooperative Extension
Department will be traveling to Japan to study agriculture and marketing of products at
the invitation of the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council.
The Commissioners accepted an invitation from the United States Department of
Commerce, Bureau of the Census to be involved in defining or updating the census
tracts and block groups, census designated places, and census county division in their
2000 census data tabulations.
Commissioners Snead was authorized to sign the Basic Interagency Contract
between North Central Washington Regional Support Network and Grant County Mental
Health and Family Services Center.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 6/30/95 in the total amount of
$128,072.73.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 7/3/95 in the total amount of
$210,759.87.
A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner
Allison that Resolution Number 95 -85 -CC setting a Public Hearing for July 24,1995 at
1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the
Current Expense Fund #001, Juvenile Department #117 in the amount of $3,925 be
passed. The motion carried.

A continuation of the Public Hearing regarding the Michael Fleming replat request
on Lot 3, Johnson Short Plat in a portion of Section 16,Township 19 N., Range 28
E.P.M. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Fancher to uphold the Planning Commission approval of the replat with all cul-de-sacs
to be a minimum of 60' radius, 30' fire lane easement, 50' shoreline protective buffer,
150' building setback on shoreline, 50' fire protection building separation, 100' radius
sanitary control zones around water source, 5' utility lot easement, and Staff to prepare
findings of fact. The motion carried.
The Commissioners signed the warrants list #71468 through #71962 for the June
payroll.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
adjourned until July 10,1995.
