A RESOLUTION WAIVING FAIRGROUNDS ) RESOLUTION No. 17- ��� -CC
FEES FOR GRANT COUNTY FAIRGROUND )
FACILITY USE. j

WHEREAS; The Grant County Fairgrounds books events and meetings throughout the year on
a fee basis; and,
WHEREAS: Urant Count government departments occasionally require additional space to
conduct hearings, hold training, facilitate meetings, and other public functions,
WHEREAS: Fairgrounds facilities are rented on a fee bases; and,
WHEREAS: The Fairgrounds are a department of Grant County, and thus no fees should be
assessed to other departments.

NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT: �

It is the policy of the Grant County Fairground to provide, at no cost, Grant County government �
departments meeting/conference rooms/amenities for conducting hearings, training, meetings, i
and other public functions. Departments should first use othez•accessible or appropriate meeting i
rooms available in the Grant County Courthouse or departments' headquarters, before requesting i
Grant County Fairground meeting/conference rooms. �

Departments requesting use of a facility must book through the established Grant County !
Fairground contract booking process on a first come, first served basis. Events will be posted on �
the Grant County Fairground website, �
The Fair Director will provide the Board of County Commissioners a surnmary of all Grant
County departments/agency use in the annual budget process.
This fee waiver policy applies only to Grant County government departments. Cui7•ent fees that i
have been approved by the Grant County Board of Commissioners will be charged for all other I
local, state, and/or federal government agencies or departments when using the Grant County '
Fairgrounds.

In the case of a natural disaster or ex.treme emergency, and under the director of the Grant i,
County Board of Commissioners, the Grant County Fairgrounds may waive fees for �

governmental agencies deemed necessary to operate ati the facility during of any such disaster or
emer�ency.
