GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NUMBER 95 -120 -CC
WHEREAS, Veterans are recognized as an honorable body of people who have
served this nation in military matters which includes laying life and limb on the line to
preserve freedoms for this nation and the world, and
WHEREAS, the Veterans Assistance Fund of Grant County was established to help
support and sustain all Veterans in need of such things as food, shelter or guidance to
access State or Federal support services, and
WHEREAS, Grant County acknowledges that payment of rent for Veterans
organizations is an acceptable use of these funds, and
WHEREAS, Grant County Veterans Assistance Center has for the past 6 months
assisted 83 Grant County Veterans in obtaining direct Veterans Assistance Fund dollars
and assisted 135 Veterans in accessing State and Federal Medical, Disability, and
Retirement Support Programs,
NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that Grant County will grant the amount of
$5,000 as a one time grant to assist the Grant County Veterans Assistance Center in
meeting their obligations for rent on their meeting place during the 1995 year.
