Week of October 16,1995
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by
Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
The Commissioners gave their approval for the hiring and budget amendment for
the new full time planner position in the Planning Department.
The Commissioners approved the beginning salary of Ruby Taylor of Grant
County Alcohol and Drug Center at $1314.61 per month effective October 9,1995.
The Commissioners approved the request for the amount of $750 budget increase
for Grant County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Board to meet this years expenditures.
The Commissioners received copies of City of Moses Lake Ordinances providing
for the Bryan, Longview Island and Longview School Annexations.
The Commissioners signed Form Amendment #1 between the North Central
Washington Regional Support Network and Grant County.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Moses Lake -Grant County
Humane Society & S.P.C.A.,Inc. for an increased payment in the 1996 year to $1450 per
month.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Fancher that Resolution Number 95 -122 -CC setting a public hearing for October 31,1995
at 10:00 a.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for
the Current Expense Fund #001, Various Departments in the amount of $62,699 be
passed. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Fancher that Resolution Number 95 -123 -CC setting a public hearing for October 31,1995
at 10:00 a.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for
the Employee Benefit Fund #504, Department #183 in the amount of $207,200 be
passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners set the following items submitted by the Planning Commission
for Public Meeting or Public Hearing:
Tren Jones application for zone change set for Public Meeting on October
31,1995 at 3:00 p.m.
Fredrick Slough application for a Preliminary Plat set for Public Meeting on
November 6,1995 at 3:30 p.m.
Tom Marthini application for a zone change set for Public Meeting on November
7,1995 at 1:30 p.m.
Charles Martin application for a zone change from Agriculture to Suburban -
Agriculture set for a Public Meeting November 7,1995 at 2:30 p.m.
Clyde Henderson, David Frick Sr., and David Gunderson application for a zone
change set for a Public Hearing November 13,1995 at 1:30 p.m.
Mike Ahmann application for a zone change set for Public Hearing November
13,1995 at 2:30 P.M.
A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner
Allison that Resolution Number 95 -124 -CC in the matter of unredeemed jury fund checks
be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners approved the amount of $15,217 for estimated costs for
furnishings in the new courtroom.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
continued until October 17,1995

The Commissioners session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the
Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Sagebrush Flats,
and Paths & Trails Expenditures.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Fancher,
seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 95 -125 -CC authorizing an
appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund #001, Jail
Department #115 in the amount of $10,540 be passed. The motion carried.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Fancher,
seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 95 -126 -CC authorizing an
appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund #001, Sheriff
Department #114 in the amount of $1,073 be passed. The motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 10/ 16/95 in the total amount of
$417,392.84.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
adjourned until October 23,1995.
