RESOLUTION NO. 95-141—CC
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE
COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the
Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on July 5, 1995 on the matter of
changing the zoning from AGRICULTURE to SUBURBAN/AGRICULTURE in a portion of said Section 11,
Township 16 North, Range 26 East W.M. and;
WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Commission have made no recommendation to the
Board of County Commissioners due to a lack of a quorum vote for approval of the proposed zone change.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having said recommendation, has given notice
this matter would be considered at a Public Hearing on August 15, 1995.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having reviewed the proposed zone change
application have requested additional information concerning relocation of the existing right-of-way did continue
the public hearing to August 22, 1995.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners having received additional information have
made a motion to approve the proposal subject to the developer obtaining a 20' right-of-way from adjacent property
owners and provide a 30' right-of-way from developers land.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that there is a need for small
acreage lots in the Royal City area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners for Grant
County, Washington, does, by this Resolution, amend the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and Official Zoning
Map for Grant County to the effect that the following described property shall henceforth be zoned as
SUBURBAN -AGRICULTURE:
The South 990 feet of the Southeast quarter of Farm Unit 5, Irrigation Block 881; Columbia
Basin Project in a portion of Section 1, Township 16 North, Range 26 East W.M., Grant County,
Washington, containing approximately 60 acres.
