RESOLUTION NO. 95-140—CC
RESOLUTION DENYING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE PLAN OF GRANT COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the
Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on August 2, 1995 on the matter of
changing the zoning from Agriculture to Suburban -Agriculture in a portion of the West half of Section 26,
Township 22 North, Range 26 East, W.M. and ;
WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Commission made a motion for a recommendation to
deny the proposed zone change; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners having received a recommendation for denial
have set a public hearing for this proposal on September 18, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the property this proposal is
located on is within the Columbia Basin Project platted farm units and is productive crop land.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the area is not compliance with
the Grant County comprehensive plan.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the use of this property for
residential purposes is not the highest and best use for the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners for Grant
County, Washington deny by this Resolution, a zone change for the following described property:
Farm Units 66 and 67, Irrigation Block 70; Columbia Basin Project in a portion of the West half of
Section 26, Township 22 North, Range 26 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington.
