IN THE MATTER OF MILEAGE
RATE FOR PRIVATE CARS
USED ON COUNTY BUSINESS
RESOLUTION NUMBER 95-190 -CC
WHEREAS, on January 23, 1978 the Board of County Commissioners did, by
resolution, establish the mileage allowance for private cars used on County business at
fifteen cents per mile; and
WHEREAS, that rate has been increased several times since January 23,1978, by
Resolution or letter, and
WHEREAS, there has been a substantial increase in the cost of gasoline, oil and
other expenses incurred in operating an automobile,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners that the rate of mileage allowance for private cars used on County
business be raised to twenty eight cents per mile, effective January 1,1996.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution supersedes all resolutions or
letters regarding the mileage rate for the use of private cars used on County business.
