RESOLUTION AMENDING THE
COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the
Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on January 3rd, 1996 on the matter of
changing the zoning from AGRICULTURE to SUBURBAN/AGRICULTURE in a portion of said Section 09,
Township 20 North, Range 27 East W.M. and;
WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Commission made no recommendation as to the
approval or denial of the zone change request.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having no recommendation, has given notice
this matter would be considered at a Public Hearing on February 5, 1996.

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have conditioned the approval on the

necessary by the Grant County Public Works Department, which includes but is not limited to,
building a county road(s) from Neppel Road south to the subject property.
2. At the time of development, the landowner shall comply to the fullest extent possible with all
requirements and recommendations deemed necessary by the Washington State Department of
Fish and Wildlife.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that lot sizes of this proposal
would be consistent with some lot sizes within a one mile radius of the proposal.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal, subject to the
requirements and recommendations of the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, does comply with
the Grant County Resource Lands and Critical Areas Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the subject property does fall within the definition of an Uncultivated Agriculture
classification which is a land area that is too rocky for cultivation, scab land not suited for crops and generally as a
holding zone in areas which have potential for future development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners for Grant
County, Washington, does by this Resolution, amend the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and Official Zoning
Map for Grant County to the effect that the following described property shall henceforth be zoned as
SUBURBAN -AGRICULTURE:
The Southeast Quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 09, Township 20 North, Range 27
East W.M., Grant County, Washington, containing 40 acres.
