Week of April 15,1996
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by
Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
Chairman Snead was authorized to sign approval of the Special Occasion Liquor
License of Desert Aire Mens Club.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office for the purchase
of a mobile traffic monitor in the amount of $8500.
The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer of Funds by the Grant
County Fair in the amount of $3,200.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Sheryl Redding of the
Sheriff's Office to 100 percent of the salary for Records Clerk.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Maintenance Department for the
amount of $3800 from Law and Justice Funds for the completion of the Emergency
Generator Building.
The Commissioners appointed Mary Groff to a further term on the Grant County
Tourism Commission.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
continued until April 16,1996.

A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Fancher to set a Public Hearing for April 29,1996 at 1:00 p.m. regarding the
supplemental budget for the Sheriff's Department #114, Current Expense Fund #001 in
the amount of $8,500 be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners signed a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Lewis
County.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Robert Guerrero Jr. as a Corrections
Officer at 90 percent of control salary effective May 2,1996.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Juvenile Probation Department
of the amount of $17,468.75 for roof repair of the Juvenile Services Center.
The Commissioners approved the CRID 93-3 budget amendment in the amount
of $8,665.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Donna Lee of the Prosecuting
Attorney's Office to the salary of a Secretary III effective April 1,1996.
The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Eric Weston of the Prosecuting
Attorney's Office at Deputy IV salary effective April 22,1996.
The Commissioners signed a Quit Claim Deed to convey to William R. Sieg, Luella
C. Bowen, Mary Sieg, Pauline Dingman and Ralph C. Sieg, property owned by Grant
County.
The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the Franchise application of
the City of Quincy. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that the Franchise be granted. The motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 4/15/96 in the total amount of
$213,457.95.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
adjourned until April 22,1996.
