RESOLUTION NO. 96 -51 -CC
A RESOLUTION relating to a supplemental extention in
Sheriff Department 4114 budget of The Current Expense
from unanticipated
federal funds.

WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board
of Grant County Commissioners that unanticipated state and/or
federal funds have been made available for the 1996 budget
Of The Sheriff Devartment 4114, Current Expense Fund #001
in the total amount of $ 8,500 ; and
WHEREAS, RCW 36.40.100 authorizes supplemental appropriations
from unanticipated state and/or federal funds after publication of
notice of the time and date of the meeting at which the supplemental
appropriation resolution will be adopted, and the amount of the
appropriation, once each week, for two consecutive weeks prior to
such meeting in the official newspaper of the county: and
WHEREAS, publication of the requisite legal notice was made
in the Grant County Journal newspaper of Grant County on
4/18 & 4/25196 • and said public meeting was held in the
Grant County Commissioners' Office, Grant County Courthouse,
Ephrata, Washington;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the
1996 budget of The Sheriff Devartment 44114,
pse Fund 44001 is hereby supplemented and extended
in the total sum of $ R.900 from unanticipated
state and/or federal funds in the following categories and items:

DEAR COMMISSIONERS:
THE GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE HAS REQUESTED AND RECEIVED A
GRANT FROM THE WASHINGTON ASSOCIATION OF SHERIFFS AND POLICE CHIEFS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $8500 TO PURCHASE A MOBILE TRAFFIC MONITOR. THIS
MONITOR CONSISTS OF A BASE TRAILER, MPH K-55 RADAR WITH 12 INCH
SPEED SIGN, WHEEL LOCK, SIGN STORAGE RACK AND SPARE TIRE.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS MY OFFICIAL REQUEST TO PURCHASE THE ABOVE
EQUIPMENT. THE GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE WILL BE REIMBURSED BY
WASPC.

I am pleased to inform you that the Grant County Sheriff's Office request as the lead agency for
a Multi -Jurisdictional Grant including Coulee City P.D.. Ephrata P.D., Mattawa P.D., Moses
Lake P.D., Quincy P.D., Rearden P.D., Soap Lake P.D. and the Washington State Patrol, Ephrata
Detachment, request for reimbursement funding was approved by the WASCP Traffic
Committee.
After considerable and arduous discussion, the committee approved a maximum of $8,500 for
this grant.
Once you have ordered your equipment and received and invoice, please complete the
A-19 form (Attachment C-3), attach a copy of the invoice and send these to the following:
