OF GRANT COUNTY LAND ADJACENT )
TO ITS COMMUNICATIONS SITE, )
EPHRATA, WASHINGTON )
RESOLUTION NO. 96 -53 -CC
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, as follows:
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington (the "County"), is a third-class
county, duly organized and operating under and by virtue of the Constitution and
the laws of the State of Washington;
WHEREAS, the County is authorized and empowered by Chapter 36.34 RCW to
lease County land when it is for the best interests of the County and the people
thereof;
WHEREAS, the County received an application and deposit from Nick and
Donna L. Tommer (TOMMER) regarding the lease of County land located at:
The Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 19, Township 21 North, Range 26 East, W.M.,
EXCEPT the following described parcel:
Beginning at the North 16th corner between Sections 19
and 20, thence South 1131' West 468.64 feet to the true
point of beginning; continuing South 1131' West 208.11
feet; thence South 89004126" West 235.69 feet; thence
North 32105134" West 243.08; thence north 89104126" East
359.34 feet to the true point of beginning (Tax Lot No.
6481).
WHEREAS, the land applied for was not in current use by the County;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) determined that it was
desirable to lease the land applied for by the applicant;
WHEREAS, the Board held a meeting on- May 6th, , 1996, for the purpose of

hearing objections to, and accepting bids for, the lease of the land applied for;
WHEREAS, the statutory notice of intention to lease requirements regarding
the aforementioned meeting were followed by the County;
WHEREAS, no objections to the County's lease of the land applied for were
presented to the Board during the aforementioned meeting;
WHEREAS, testimony presented during the aforementioned meeting established
that there was a need in Grant County for the type of services provided by the
applicant for the land applied for by the applicant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
Section 1: The Board hereby accepts the TOMMER application for the lease
adjacent to its communications site near Ephrata, Washington.
Section 2: The Board hereby finds and declares that the lease of County land
located adjacent to its communications site near Ephrata, Washington, is for the best
interests of Grant County and the people.
Section 3: The Board hereby finds and declares that the services provided by
the applicant will benefit the people of Grant County.
Section 4: The Board intends to lease the land applied for upon such terms and
conditions as to the Board may seem right in the premises.
Section 5: A notice substantially in the following form shall be published once
in the legal newspaper of the County:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of County
Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, held a meeting on .May
6th , 1996, for the purpose of hearing objections to, and accepting
bids for, the leasing of Grant County land located adjacent to its
communications site near Ephrata, Washington. No objections were
received.
The Board found that the lease of the subject land is for the best
interests of Grant County and the people, and accepted the TOMMER
application.
Section 6: That County staff shall prepare a lease agreement pertaining to the
lease of the land applied for, upon such terms and conditions as the Board seems just
and right in the premises.
