WASHINGTON 98823 15091 754-2011 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS GRANT COUN'T'Y, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF DENYING THE RESOLUTION NO. 96-86—CC ZONE CHANGE FROM SUBURBAN -AGRI- CULTURE TO SUBURBAN -3 IN A RESOLUTION DENYING AN AMMENDMENT PORTION OF SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP ( TO THE GRANT COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE 19 N., RANGE 27 EAST, W.M., GRANT PLAN AND OFFICIAL ZONING MAP COUNTY, WASHINGTON I REZA FIROUZI WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on May 1, 1996 on the matter of recommending approval/denial of a zone change from Suburban -Agriculture to Suburban -3 on 53 acres of property located in a portion of Section 24, Township 19 North, Range 27 East, W.M., Grant County and ; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have held a public meeting on June 3, 1996 to consider the matter of upholding the recommendation to deny the zone change. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have held a public meeting on June 24, 1996 to consider additional information presented to support an approval of this proposal. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners found that the zone change is not consistent with the Comprehensive plan of Grant County. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent has not demonstrated that changed circumstances in the vicinity of the proposed rezone warrant a change in use of the property. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent has not shown that a need exists in the area for smaller acreage's. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent has not demonstrated that this proposal will provide long term benefits to the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners for Grant County, Washington deny by this Resolution, a zone change for the following described property: That portion of the East half of Northeast quarter of Section 24, Township 19 North, Range 27 East, Willamette Meridian less tax numbered parcels; the Plat of Mae Meadows; and the East half of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 24, Township 19 North, Range 27 East, Willamette Meridian, Grant County, Washington also known as Tax parcel 1553.
