RESOLUTION DENYING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE PLAN OF GRANT COUNTY
RON GEAR, D.B.A. BORNE AGAIN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by
the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on May 1, 1996 on the
matter of changing the zoning from RESIDENTIAL -2 to SUBURBAN -2 in a portion of Section 09,
Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington.
WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Commission on May 1, 1996 made a
recommendation to DENY the zone change.
WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of County Commissioners held a public meeting
on ,June 4, 1996 on the rezone request.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners found sufficient evidence to uphold
the recommendations and findings of the Grant County Planning Commission to DENY the proposed
rezone.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has found that the proponent has not
demonstrated that the circumstances in the vicinity of the proposed zone change have changed.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent has not
demonstrated that this proposal will provide long-term benefits to the community.
I . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners for
Grant County, Washington deny by this Resolution, a zone change for the following described property:
A portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and a portion of the
Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 09, Township 19 North, Range
28 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington. Parcel # 17-0270-000
