The Commissioners approved and signed the Grant County Public Works Payroll Salary Fund for the April 14, 2017 payroll. Execution af Contracts: Raad Stabilization 2017 praject awarded to EnviroTech Services, Inc. of Greeley, CO to furnish and place 729 tons af Magnesium Chloride (30%}for the bid amount of $108,6�1.00 nat including sales tax, (Approved) 1:45 p.m.—2:00 p.m. Open Record Public Hearing, Ordinance adding Ch. 11.36 to the Grant County Code titled "Vehicles and Traffic" which will allow All Terrain Vehicles (ATV} Upon County Raads; specifically the Sunland Estates area. The Commissioners held an Open Recard Public Nearing to consider an ordinance adding a new Chapter 11,23 to the Grant County Code Title 11, "Vehicles and Trafific" allowing the use of wheeled all-terrain vehicies (WATV) upon designated county roads, Sam Winzler, owns and operates the Winz(er Vehicie Licensing in Moses l,ake, stated they have seen a significant increase in interest in WATC licenses. Ne is in favor af the ordinance passing taday and for one to pass on ather county roads. Moses Lake recently passed an ardinance allowing WATV's on city roads. This would be a great tourism toal. Neii Smith,Suniand Estates Board member,spoke in favar of the ordinance. He currentiy uses his UTV alor�g county roads. Tam Jones,Sheriff,spoke in favar of the ordinance at Sunland Estates. Commissioner Taylor asked if the Sheriff or Public Works have received any negative feedback on the proposed ordinance. Jeff Tincher said only during the SEPA review, but not currently. A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Cornmissioner Taylor,to close the public comment portion of this hearing. The matian passed unanimausly. Cornmissioner Stevens maved to apprave Ordinance No. 17-03Q-CC as presented. Commissioner Taylor seconded. Commissioner Stevens amended his motion to adopt the Ordinance as presented. Commissioner Taylor seconded and the motion passed unanimously, The hearing adjourned.
