Week of December '15,� 997
The Grant County Commissianers session was called to order at
9:00 a.m. with all of the Comrnissioners ir� attendance with the Clerk of
the Board.
The Commissioners read ancl ap�roved the minutes of the
preceding session as written.
The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer of Funds
in the District Court Department in the amount of $1,624.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Jurae Kinkead of the
Juvenile Department at $856.00 per rnonth effective December 1,1997.
The Comrnissioners were notified that Tom Ox�nrang of the
Juvenile Department wauld be retiring �f�ective December 31,'1997.
The Commissioners approved the sa0ary of �lUarren Swanson of
the Juvenile Department as Administra#ive Assistant to Probation
effective December 1,1997.
The Comrt7issi�ners set a Public Meeting for January 12,1998 at
1:30 p.m. regarding the zone change request from Residential II to
Agriculture requested by Roger and Judith K. Schafer in a portion of
the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 3, Township 22 North, Range 28
EC�S�' 1�Y.IY1.
The Comrr�issioners spent the revnainder of the day working on
the 1998 budget.
As #here was no further business to come before the Board the
session was confinued �ntil December 1fi,1997.
December °I6,1997
ihe session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the
Cornrnissioners in aftendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Como�nissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
1997 Budget Transfers, Bid Authorization-Countywide Crushing,
Resolution-Adopting Annual Road Progra�n, Ted Christensen(Primitive
Roads), Righ� of Way procedures, and Personnel.
The Comsnissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids for
the 1998 Crushing and Stockpiling Project. Bid opening date to be
January fi,1998 at 10:00 a.m.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Jerry Cerrillo
of the Public Warks Central Shop to 1�0 percent of the salary fior
mechanics effective at the end of his six �nonth probationary period.
A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconcled by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 97-208-CC relat6ng to the
transfer of funds within the 1997 budget of the Equipment Rental &
Revolving Func! in the amount of $152,000 be passed. The motion
carried.
A rr�otion was made by Commissi�ner Fancher, seconded by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 97-209-CC relatang to the
transfer of funds within the 1997 budget of the Sign Shop Fund in the
amount of $8,000 be passed. The rnotior� carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Corr�missionerFancherthatResolution Number97-210-CC in the matter
of adopting the 1998 annual road program be passed. The motion
carried.
The Commissioners received co�ies from Niatthews Steel
Buildings,lnc. of Statement of Inteni to pay prevailing wages for
Bricklayert-s, Hodcarriers, Roller-aIB types on subgrade, Scraper-rubber
tired, Dozer-multiple units w! single blade, Backhoe-45,000 to 110,000,
General Laborer, Dump Truck and Sof� Faoor Layer.
The Comrrr�issioners approved the salary increase of the District
Court Judges to $96,082.
The Commissioners signed a Municipal Services Agreernent with
the Grant County Economic Developmen� Council.
'The Comrraissioners spent the remainder of the day woorking on
the �998 budget.
As of this clate the Board by a majority vote does apprave
for payment those v�uchers filed in the Auditors Office 12/15/97
in the total amount of $fi58,152.95.
As there �nras no further business to come before the �oard the
session was continued until December 18,1997.

The session was continued at 10:30 a.m. with all of the
Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners spent the day vr�orking on the 1998 budgets.
As there was no further business tm come before the Board the
session was continued until Decernber 19,1997.

The Camm�ss�e�ners approved the Request fc�r Transfer c�� Funds
in the Gooperative Exien�ion Departrnent in �he amount of $4,100.
The Carnmissioners apprrsved the Reques� far Transfer of Funds
in the Juveni[e t��partment.
