RESOLUTION NO. 97-201-CC RESOLUTION DENYING A PRELIMINARY PLAT OF IVINE LOTS Dan Frogget WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on November 5, 1997 in the matter of considering a Preliminary Plat located in a portion of Farm Units 16 and 17, Irrigation Block 79, Columbia Basin Project in the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter and the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 27, Township 18 North, Range 23 East, Willamette Meridian, Grant County, Washington. WHEREAS, the Grant County Planning Commission made a unanimous recommendation to deny the Preliminary Plat and forwarded this recommendation on to the Grant County Board of County Commissioners. WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of Coianty Commissioners held a public meeting on December 2, 1997 concerning the this Preliminary Plat proposal. WHEREAS, the Gran� County Board of County Commissioners on December 2, 1997 made a decision to uphold the recommendation of the Planning Commission to deny this proposed preli.minary plat. WHEREAS, the Grant Couniy Board of County Commissioners County Commissioners have found that the proposed subdivision is not consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan. WHEREAS, i:he Board of County Commissioners have found that the public use and interest will not be served by the preiiminary plat. WHBREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal is located within a priority habitat area and possible cultural resource area as defined by the Grant County Resource Lands and Critical Areas Ordinance. WHEREAS, the Board of Counry Commissioners have found that the proposal will adversely affect the health, safety, and welfare of the general public in the vicinity of the proposal. � WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have not found that appropriate provisions for drainage, roads, alleys, utilities, public ways, water supplies, sanitary wastes, parks, playgrounds, fire protection facilities, school sites, a.nd grounds and other public and private facilities and improvements have been ffiade.
