The Grant Cauniy Commissioners s�ssion was called ta arder at
9;�38 a.m. by� Chairman L.eRay Aliison. A1� c�� the Commissioners were
in attendance with the Clerk of fhe Board.
The Cc►mmissioners read and approved the minutes of the
preceding sessi+�n as written.
The Commissianers approwed the request by fhe Plannimg
Department for a buciget extension in the �maunt o�F $25,�0� for salary
and benefts.
The �ommissianers apprQved the ret�uest by the Sherrffs O�fice
for two addiiiona! Gf]PS offcers, witia funding provided by �h�
Depar�ment of Justice, CJffce of Commuraity Oriented Paticing.
The Cammissioners approved the request by the Juvenite
Probatian �epar�tment to use Law and Just6ce Funds to pay unexpected
cosis with be�ng �'orc+�d to find a ne�w location far praviding services in
ihe Moses Lak� area. �
Th� Commissioners held a Pubtic Hearing regarding the Zane
Change requ�st by Martell and Gwen Ralmer, from Agriculture tcr
Gommer�iat Freeway Service on approximately 35 acres iocated in
Farm Unit 't36, irrigation 8iock 41, Columbia Basin Project, except the
Nor�h 77v feet as measured ai right angtes from the l�orfih line thereof,
locafied in the East ha1# of Sectian 33, Tflwnship �9 North, Fiange 29
East, V1I.N�., in the vicinilE� of Coun�y Road C) NEltnters#�ate 90
interchar�ge. After pr�sentaiions and infarmatior� prc�vided by the

Gommissioner Snead, seconded by Commissianer Aliison ta deny the
zvne change, with finciings of fact ic� be that it does fatl wiihin criticat
areas as defned by the Grani Gounty �esource Lands and Criticat
Areas Development Cfrdinance, is in the irrigated farm ur�iis af the
Colurnbia Basin Project and da�es receive an irrigation vvater aiia�ment,
is no� consistent with the Grant Gaunty Gomprehensive Plan and
surrounding uses, tne proponent has noi presented suffici�ni evidence
that changed circumstances in the area of the subject property warrani

A motion was made by �ommissianer Fancher, seconded by
Gomnnissioner Af�ison ta accept the recommendatian of the Pubiic

it'Itrecking,lnc. in the am+�uni of $2,25'1.98. The moti�n carried.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by
Cc�rr�missianer Fancher, secvnded by Cammissioner �Ilison ihat
Resolution N�mber 97-1?�-GC authorizing an appropriation and
expentiiture of fu�nds for �he Juvenile FaciCity �onstruction Fund #382,
Depariment #OQ1 in the amouni af $2fi1,220 be passed. The motion
carri+�d.
A Pubiic Hearing was hefd and a motion was made by
Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissifl�n�r A�lison that

Departmenis in the amount of $394,097 be passed. The mation carried.

on Sun Healthcare Group,lnc.
