WHEREAS, the Grant County Prosecutor's Office was recently required to try a lengthy,
high profile criminal case in Seattle, Washington; and
WHEREAS, the subject criminal case involved many witnesses which were required to
travel from all parts of the State, and the coordination of travel plans; and
WHEREAS, the subject criminal case involved a rather complex rebuttal of an insanity
defense, and a large number of exhibits; and
WHEI2EAS, King County Prosecuting Attorney Norm Maleng volunteered legal and
secretarial staff, and other resources to assist the Grant County Prosecuting Attorney's Office; and
WHEREAS, King County Prosecuting Attorney Norm Maleng's assistance was invaluable
in achieving a just result; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Prosecuting Attorney's Office would have been at a
tremendous disadvantage in attempting to try the subject criminal case wi�hout the assistance of
King County Prosecuting Attorney Norm Maleng and his office; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Commissioners desire to convey and express their deep
gratitude to King County Prosecuting Attorney Norm Maleng and his office for all of their efforts

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, that the Grant County Commissioners and all of the citizens of Grant
County thank King County Prosecuting Attorney Norm Maleng and his staff for their tireless and
invaluable efforts in assisting the Grant County Prosecutor's Office, and congratulate them on a job
well done.
ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, this
