RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE RESOLUTION No. 17- o�-CC
ANNITAL COUNTY INVENTORY OF
CAPITALIZED ASSETS.
WHEREAS, RCW 36.32.210 states that each board of county commissioners of the
. several counties of the state of Washington shall, on the first Monday of March of each year, file
with the auditor of the county a statement verified by oath showing a fu11 and complete inventory
� of all capitalized assets for the twelve months period ending Decembar 31St of the preceding
year; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Board of Grant County Commissioners hereby certify
that they have reviewed said inventory of personal property for the year 2016, and believe the
same to be complete, accurate and true to the best o�their knowledge and belief, based upon the
information submitted and certified by the individual elected officials and county department
heads; and
WHEREAS, March 6, 2017 is the first opportunity to file with the Auditor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the County
Commissioners certify the attached Annual County Inventory of Capitalized Assets and
files the same with the Auditor.

Re: Capital Asset report required by State Law,Year Ended 2016
Attached is the above referenced report prepared by the Accounting Department of the Auditor's
Office. The capital asset information for the Public Worlcs Department is prepared by Rayetta
Bramlett, PW Accountant.
Please note that there are a number of assets that have been identified as surplus by various
departments,but approval to surplus these assets was not obtained unti12017. Therefore, these
surplus items are included in the 2016 year-end inventory, but will be inactivated and removed
from the inyentory list during 2017.
; We are currently revising and updating the inventory verification process, the property
transaction form and the asset codes in the Accounting system to make the entire process easier
and more efficient for everyone involved. This will take us some time to complete,but our
intent is to send out a preliminary inventory list to all departments 3+months before the end of
the year with the goal of cleaning up the inventory as much as possible prior to the end of the
year and the State mandated inventory certification date in 2018.
