RESOLUTION NO. 97-77-CC
REPEALING CHAPTER 5.02 OF THE GRANT COUNTY
CODE RELATING TO BUSINESS AND OCCUPATION LICENSE REGULATIONS
WHEREAS, Grant County is undergoing constant and increased pressures on its limited
fiscal resources to provide important government services, including criminal justice services,
which prompt the policy choice set forth herein; and
WHEREAS, Grant County desires to make the wisest use of its limited fiscal resources;
and
WHEREAS, ever increasing demands on county government, coupled with shrinking
resources, prevent the funding of county personnel to implement and enforce business and
occupation license regulations; and
WHEREAS, the overwhelming majority of counties in this state do not have business and
occupation license regulations; and
WHEREAS, Peddlers and Hawkers will continue to be regulated by Chapter 36.71 RCW;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT
COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section 1. Grant County Code Chapter 5.02, adopted by Ordinance No. 90-48-CC on
June 12, 1990, is hereby repealed in its entirety.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE GRANT COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS adopt this ordinance effective unmediately.
