RESOLUT[ONNUMBER 97-54—CC
A RESOLUTION relating to an interfund loan to the Marine View Heights Water System
Fund # 404.
WH�REAS, it has been brought to tha attention of the Board of Grant Commissioners that
the Marine View Heights Water System lacks sufficient funds to make needed repairs and
pay for minimal operating expenses: and
WHEREAS, the Marine View Heights Water System is now operating under a boil w�ter
condition, posing a health hazzard: and;
WHEREAS, the Current ExpensE Fund # 001 is allowed to make interfund loans to proprietary
funds so long as interest in charged at a current rate ( 7.65 %): and;
WHEREAS, the Current Expense Fund has sufficient cash reserves to provide a short-term
interfund loan to the Marine View Heights Water System Fund # 404: and;
WHEREAS, Marine View Heights Water System Fund # 404 can pay claims using interest
bearing warrants once a budget has been established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COIJNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GRANT COLTNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that they hereby authorize the County Auditor to
pay for needed repairs and minimal operating expenses from the Curent Expense Fund # 001
thereby creating an interfund loan to the Marine View Heights Water System until such time as
the Marine View Heights Water System Fund # 404 has a budget in place.
This resolution is in the best interest of good government and shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
