All of the Commissioners �nrere in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as �nrritten. The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Tawna Whitford of the Building Dep�rtment at 80 percent of base salary which will be $2,722 per mont� effective May� 1,1997. The Commissioners received n�tice that Dennis M. Ma� was withdrawing his services in drafting news releases for the County. The Commissione�s apg�roved the request by the Sheriffs Office for a budget extension of $17,781 from unexpended funds in the 1996 Law and Justice budge� for amounts stifl owing to Spiltman. The Commissioners ap�proved the request for transfer of funds within the District Court Dep�rtment #'�02, Current Expense Fund #00'I budget in the amount of $3,417. The Commissione�-s ap�proved the salary of Nona Askwig of the Auditors Office at 80 perceu�t of the control salary for a licensing deputy effecti�re May 1,�997. The Commissioners a�pproved the salary increase of Sheryl Redding of the Sheriffs Of�ice to $1,954 per month effective May 1,1997. The Commissioners signed the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Jennifer Stussy of the ,Assessors Office effective April 18,1997. Chairman Allison was authoriz�d to sign the Addendum to Existing Permit #1996-001 to Desert Aire Owners Association. A motion was made by CAmrr�assioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher �hat t�esolutioru Number 97-47-CC in the maiter of approving the Prelimanary Plat of Davis Plat, a 7 lot subdivision on 7.18 acres in a portion of Section 4, Tovvnship 19 N., Range 28 E.,W.M. �equested by Elmer Davis be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher �hat Resolutior� Number 97-48-CC in the matter of changing the zoning from C-G(General-Commercial) to R- 2{Residentia�-2) in a portion of Sectioru 25, Township 22 N., Range 26 E., W.M. requested by David and Markita Craft be passed. The motion carried. The motion carried. The Commissioners seit a Public Hearing for May 12,1997 at 2:30 p.m. regarding a proposed ordinance designating the appropriate county official to issue licens�s for peddlers, hawkers, auctioneers and barterers, and fo collect license fees, setting a license fee and other matters properly relating thereto. The Commissioners se� a Public Hearing for May 12,'1997 at 3:30 p.m. regarding the repealing of Chapter 5.02 of the Grant County Code relating to Business and Occupation License regulations. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until April 21,'�997.
