A resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington: finding
that it appears that it is for the best interests of Grant County and the taxing districts and the
people thereof that the Grant County real property as set forth herein should be sold; setting
a public hearing regarding same; and providing for other matters properly relating thereto.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, as follows:
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington (the "County"), is a Class 3 county, duly
organized and existing under the Constitution and the laws of the State of Washington; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (the "Board") of the County is
authorized to conduct proceedings and to sell surplus real property when it appears that it is
for the best interests of the County and the taxing districts and the people thereof that the
Grant County real property should be so1d, pursuant under the limitations and restrictions and
in the manner provided in chapter 36.34 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a number of requests from Grant
County residents regarding the proposals to dispose to the subject County property in the
Royal Slope area, situated in Grant County, Washington, as described below:
That portion of Section 33 lying East of State Sign Route 243,
and that portion of Section 271ying South of Sign Route 26, all
in Township 17 North, Range 23, E.W.M.;

and
WHEREAS, the subject property was purchased by the County for use in conjunction
with other property acquired by the County from the Federal government as a dangerous
waste disposal site; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is no longer needed by the County for use as a
dangerous waste disposal site; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it is for the best interests of the County and the taxing
districts and the people thereof that the subject County real property should be sold; and
WHEREAS, the Board at a regular meeting set the request for the sale of the subject
property on for a public hearing pursuant to 1aw, for April � 1997, at ;� �m, at
the Commissioners' Hearing Room, Grant County Courthouse, Ephrata, Washington; and
WHEIZEAS, during the public hearing, the Board will consider the proposal to dispose
of the subject real property and admit evidence offered for and against the propriety and
advisability of the proposed action to sell the subject county real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED AND ORDERED, as follows:
Section 1: The Board has found and determined that it appears that it is for the best
interests of Grant County and the taxing districts and the people thereoi that the County real
property as set forth herein should be sold.
Section 2: The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to set a public hearing on April
� 1997, on the proposition as set forth herein, in accordance with law.
Section 3: All actions heretofore taken in connection with the proposal to dispose of
the subject County real property by the Board, employees and/or agents of the County that
are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Resolution are hereby ratified, confirmed and
approved.
Section 4: All resolutions or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from and after its date of
adoption.
