IN THE MATTER OF LOAD
RESTRICTIONS GRANT
COUNTY ROADS
RESOLUTION N0. 96-194-CC
It is hereby resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Grant
County, Washington, that the following road restrictions may be pla-
ced on any and/or all Grant County roads for a period not to exceed
120 days from the effective daie below when, in the opinion of the
Director of Public Works or his authorized representative, certain
roads or road sections may incur damage if the gross vehicle ti�eights
are not restricted, provided the following notice is published and
the load restrictions are posted:
NOTICE OF RESTRICTIONS ON GRANT COUNTY ROADS
Notice is hereby given that in accordance with ihe provisions
of Chapter 36.75.270, Revised Code of Washington, all Grant County
roads can be closed to traffic by all vehicles hereinafter described,
for a period of 120 days from the effective date of this order, when
each and every road shall be posted as set forth below:
LOAD RESTRICTIONS
1) The County roads described above are closed when posted
to all vehicles whose gross weight (vehicle and load), exceeds
the.load limits set fortfi below for the tires of the various
sizes, as follows:
TIRE SIZE MAXINIUM LOAD PER TIRE
6.00 1400 lbs.
6.50 1600 lbs.
7.00 1800 lbs.
7.50 1800 lbs.
8.25 1900 lbs.
9.00 2250 lbs. �
10.00 & larger 3000 lbs.
MAXIMUM GROSS LIMIT PER VEHICLE
6 tires - 18,000 lbs. 10 tires - 30,000 lbs.
2) The load distribution on any one axle of any vehicle shall
be such thai it will not load the tires on said axle in excess of
the prescribed load set forth in this order.
3) Gross vehicle weights exceeding the load limits set will only
be allowed by written permits, obtainable from each Road District
Supervisor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that at any time during the effective period
where an emergency exists, the Director of Public Works is hereby
granted the authority to close any Grant County road or road section
to all unauthorized traffic, provided the fol7owing notice is posted
on each end of the section to be closed:
Notice is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions
of Chapter 36.75.270, Revised Code of Washington, this road is
closed io travel by a11 vehicles except passenger vehicles and
empty trucks unless a written permit has been obtained from the
Office of ihe Director of Public Works, P. 0. Box 37, Ephrata,
Washington 98823.
Pursuani to R.C.W. 36.75.270 any person violating this Resolutian shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor.
This order shall be published in the official County newspaper and shail
be effective and enforced on and after the 6th day of January, 1997 -
