WHEREAS, By order of the State of Washington Growth Managemer�t
Hearings Board for Eastern Washington, Grant County has taken �
steps to br'rng the County into compliance with the Growth
Management Act; and,
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Grant County
Washington intends fo fully comply with the Washington State Growth
Management Act; and,
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Grant County
Washington adopted Resolution No. 96-108-CC entitled, A
RESOLUTION ADOPTING GRANT COUiVTY'S PLAN FOR
CONTINUED COMPLIANCE WITH THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT
ACT; and,
WHEREAS, Said resolution stipulates that, the County will adopt
effective and adequate ordinances or amendments to existing
ordinances, to prevent lot spin-offs, land segregation's, exemptions,
and other variances that contribute to urban sprawl in rural areas of
Grant County; and,
WHEREAS, Proper notification has been provided and subsequent
Public Hearings have been held by the Grant County Commissioners
in order to provide the opportunity for public participation in the
process of rescinding exemption (7) of Section (2) Exemptions of the

VifNEREAS, A Pubiic Hear�ng was held and actian t�ken on Manday,
November 4, 1996 by the Soard of County Commis�ioners regarding
rescinding exemp�ion (7) of Section (2) of the Grant County Short P1at
(�rdinance and adding a new exempti�n {7) to Section {2) of the Grant
Coun�}r Snort Plat C?rdir�ar�ce in the Board af Coun#y Commissioners
Hearings Roc�m loca�ed at the Grant County Court House, Ephrata
WA, at which time any person �r persons where allowed to appear
and be heard either for or against the proposa! to rescind exemption
number (7} to Sec�ion {2.} Exempfiions af the Grant Co�nty Short Plat
flrdinance; which fa#lowing said Public Hearing, was subsequen�iy
rescinded as struckthraugh below, and replaced with new language
which fallaws respective(y:
