The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at
9:00 a.m. by Chairman Tim Snead. All of ihe Commissioners v�ere in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the
preceding session as written.
The Corr�missioners approved the beginning salary of Nona Aswig
of the Auditors Office at $7.00 per hour effective October 16,199fi.
The Commissioners approved the beginning salary of Gail
Schindler of the Gran� County Alcohol and Drug Center at $1,249.20 per
month effective October 7,1996.
The Corrr�missioners approved the salary increase of Wade Hilliard
of the Sheriffs Department to $2,823 per month effective September
1,1996.
The Commissioners approvec� the safary increase of Deputy
McClintock to $2,845.52 per month effective January 1,1995.
�hairman Snead was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation
or Work Interruption of Niarie Turnberg of the Auditors O�FFfic�, effective
October 31,1996
The Commissioners appointed Brendon T. Jose to a further term
as a Commissioner on the Housing Authority of Grant County.
The Cornmissioners approved the starting salary of Shay D.
Garrison of the Clerk's O�ce at $5.00 per hour effective October
14,1996.
The Comr�nissioners were notified of the termination of
employment of Allison L. Hegge of the Clerks 4ffice effective
September 30,�199fi.
The Corr�missioners approered the request by the SherifFs Office
to allow Larry Yount to carry over rr�are th�an 30 days annual leave into
the 1997 year.
The Commissioners set a Public IVleeting for Nover�ber 1�,1996
at 1:30 p.m. regarding the proposed zone change for 29.1 acres from
Agriculture to Suburban-3 in a portion of the Northwest quarter of the
Northwest quarter of Section 25, Township 20 North, Range 27 E.�II.M.
requested by Vyacheslav Dudenkov.
The Commissioners se� a Public Meeting for November 18,1996
at 2:30 p.m. regarding the proposed division of Lot 23 of Mattawa Acres
#1, Northeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 14 North, Range 23 East,
W.M. into two parcels requested by Jesus Castro.
The Commissioners set a Pubiic Meeting for November 18,1996
at 3:00 p.m. regarding the proposed division of Lot #'15 of Mattawa
Acres #1, a portion of the Northwest �2uarter of Section 4, Township 1A�
North, Range 23 East, VV.M. into two parcels requested by Marcelino
Tirado.
The Comr�°�issioners approved the request by the Assessor for
additional step increases in Apprais�r salaries.
A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by
CornmissionerAllison that Resolution Number 9fi-139-CC relating to the
transfer of funcls within the 1996 budget of the Current Expense Fund
#001, Juvenile Department #117 in the total amount of $9,312 be
passed. The rnotion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the
session onras continued until October 22,1'�996.

'The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. v�ith alf of the
Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Corramissioners met with the Publi� Works Director regarding
R�►P Agreement-Sagebrush Flats(Revised}, Pit Site Agreement-John
Edwards, Pickup Purchase, and Well Abandonment Proposals.
The Cornmissioners signed a Lease Agreementwith Dick Edwards
of Wilbur, Vdlashington regarding a Pit Site, StockpiBe Site.
The Gommissioners received notification of the next Courthouse
Security Com�nittee r�neeting on November 14,1996 and approved the
request for the Commissioners to appoin�t persons to the Committee.
The Commissaoners received a signed agreement for 199i law
enforcement services to the Town of Nfarlin.
The Commissioners sent a letter to Kirk V. C�ok of Department of
Ecology regarding working together on various issues regarding
Ground V1later Management in Grant County.
/� motion was made by Comrnissioner Allison, secontled by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution N'u�nber 96-'t40-CC regarding
employee donation of sick leave to an employee in District Court who
is ver� ill be passed. The motion carried.
