HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of August 26,1996 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by Chairman Tim Snead. Commissioner Allison was in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Fancher was out of the office. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Carri Bujacich of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office at 90 percent of a Legal Secretary I beginning September 3,1996. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of William Halstead of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney II beginning September 1,1996. The Commissioners approved the purchase of two new computers for the Prosecuting AttorneyTs Office. The Commissioners received the notice of retirement from Frances E. Brown of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center effective December 31,1996. The Commissioners appointed the following persons to positions on the Grant County Alcohol and Other Drug Addiction Board: Leticia DeLeon-Valdez Veronica Hernandez Jim Gordon warren Sanders Rob Van Allen The Commissioners approved the request by Grant County District Court to fill the position of Bailiff/Clerk. Commissioner Snead was authorized to sign approval of the Special Occasion Liquor License of the Desert Aires MenTs Club. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until August 27,1996. August 27,1996 The Commissioners session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Commissioner Snead and Commissioner Allison in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner A1lison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 96-118-CC in the matter of vacating a portion of County Road formerly known as Martin Road is vacated and a�andoned as a County Roacl be passeao The motion carried. The Fire Marshal, with the concurrence of the Commissioners implemented a burn ban effective 8/27/96 at 12e0� p.m. for all unincorporated areas of Grant County until further notice. The Commissioners approved the request by the Juvenile Department for out of state travel for three persons to attend a"Relapse Prevention Certification SC110��TT e The Commissioners signed the request for Transfer of �'unds in the �"uvenile Department budget in the amoun� of $�,100s Th� Commissioners approvec�. the salary increase of Corrections Off�cer �ason Mitchell to $1�908 per month. effective September 1�1996. '�he Commiss�oners approved the salary increase of Corrections Officer Ryan Rectenwald to $1,908 per month effective September 1,1996. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of D�spatcher �Tames Porter to $1, 985.40 per month effective Auc�us� � j 1996. The Cornmiss�on�rs approved. the request �y the Treasurer for the purchase of one new cash register printer in the approxima�e cost of $825.00. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Department Claims Fun�. Voucrer Approval #8-1 trrough #8-2 in the total amoun-� of $21,115.18, The Commissioners s�gned. the Public Works Payroll Journal for �he montl� of August �n the amount of �252,064.32e As of this date the Commissioners by a majority vote have approved for payment those vouchers included �n the list f�led in the �uditor� Office 8/26/96 in the total amount of $526,361e73.
