HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of August 19,1996 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Tim Snead. Commissioner Fancher was in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Allison was out of the office. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the request by the Superior Court for additional funds for a SCOMIS connection. The Commissioners approved the request by the Juvenile Probation Department for funds to be spent for the purchase of a Motorola Beeper System. The Commissioners received a petition from property owners on Panorama Drive regarding a road name change. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 96-114-CC relating to the transfer of funds within the 1996 budget of the Current Expense �'und #001, Commissioner's Department #101 in the amount of $3,110 be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 96-115-CC setting a Public Hearing for September 9,1996 at 1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Law and Justice Fund #121, Department #163 in the amount of $160,000 be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 96-116-CC in the matter of changing the zoning from Agriculture to Suburban-2 in a portion of Section 02, Township 21 North, Range 26 East,W.M, requested by Matthew and Kari Hermanson be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners held a continuation of the Public Hearing regarding the West Meadows SEPA Appeal. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead to continue the matter until Tuesday, September 3,at 10:30 a.m. to allow the Planning Department to analyze the issues. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until August 20,1996 August 20,1996 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public V�7orks Director regarding Auction Services Agreement, Contract Execution-Adams Road, Nelson Road, P& 9NW Intersection, County Discussion. The Commissioners signed the contract with Central Washington Asphalt,Inc. for work on Adams Rd, CRP 96-2. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Paula Reno of the Sheriff's Department to $2,120 per month effective September 1,1996. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Richard Reno of the Sheriff's Department to $1,908 per month effective July 1,1996. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Keith wilson to $846.50 per month, and Barbara Huss to $1,693 per month in the Juvenile Probation Department. The Commissioners sic�ned an Auction Services Contract with Northwest Auction Company. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 96-117-CC providing for exceptions to the marking requirements for certain Grant County motor vehicles be passed. The motion carried. As of this date the Board by a maj ority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 8/19/96 in the total amount of $2Q6�951.74. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until August 26,1996.
