BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON

IN RE: DISASTER AREA IN GRANT COUNTY LOCAL DECLARATION
OF DISASTER AREA
WHEREAS, the Grant County Emergency Management Agency
has reported to the Grant County Board of County Commissioners,
begin at 14:51, August 2,1996, that a Wild land Fire at the
location of Baird Springs Road and Overen. Road has occurred and may
impact on parts of the county; and
BE IT RESOLVED THE BROAD OF GRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS:
SECTION I
That it is hereby declared that there is an emergency due to the
conditions in Grant County that is or may be impact(ing) Grant
County; therefore, the Grant Coun�y Department of Emergency
Management, Gxant County District # 3, is authorized to enter into
contracts and incu.r obligations necessary to combat such disaster,
protecting the health and safety of property and providing
emergency assistance �o the victims ot such disaster.
SECTION II
Each aforementioned department is authorized to exercise the powers
vested under Section I of this resolution in light of the problem
of an extreme emergency situation without regard to time consuming
procedures and formalities prescribed by law (excepting mandatory
constitutional requirements).
