;�sW�3ER�AS, the Board of Counry Co�nmissioners of"�r'�a7it County have been
advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that an Open Record Public Hearing was
conducted on March 4, 1998 on the matter of changing the zoning from "AGR (Agriculture)"
to "S-2 (Suburban-2) on an approximately ninety-eight (9�} acre parcel located in a portion of
the South half of the Southeast quarter of Section 06, Township 19 North, Range 28 East,
W.M., Grant County, Washington, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant Counry have been
advised by the Grant County Planning Department that the Grant County Planning
Commission recommended approval on said matter with findings, and; '
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant Couniy having said
� �- recommendation for �approval, have given notice this matter i�ould ti�e: considered at a public
meeting on May..�4, .1998, and; . . . , - _
WHEREAS, the Board of Counry Commissioners of Grant County have upheld
the recommendation for approval and fmdings of fact of .the Grant Cou'nry Planning
Commission; - - - . , - - �-

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal
does fall within a Critical Area as defined by the Grant County Resource Lands and Critical
Areas Development Ordinance, and;
WHEREAS, the Boa�d of Counry Commissioners have found that the proposal
is not within the irrigated farm units of the Columbia Basin Project, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Counry Commissioners of Grant County have found
that the proposal is consistent with the Grant Counry Comprehensive Plan and surrounding
uses, and;
�vri�i�A�, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have found
that the proposal has met the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA);
WHEREAS, the Board of Counry Commissioners of Grant County have found
that the proponent has presented sufficient evidence that c�anged circumstances in the area of
the subject property warrant a rezone of the property, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent
has presented sufficient evidence that changed circumstances in the area of the subject property
warrant a rezone of the property, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have �ound that the proponent
has presented sufficient evidence that there is sufficient need in the area for the types of uses
allowed and size of lots.
