RESOLUTION APPROVING A ZONE
CHANGE FROM AGRICULTURE
TO SUBURBAN AGRICULTURE
DENNIS AND MARGIE BARGER
VVHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been
advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on
February 4, 1998 on the matter of changing the zoning from "AGR (Agriculture)" to °SA
(Suburban Agriculture) on an approximately sixty-three (63) acre parcel located in a portion of
the South Half of Section O1, Township 19 North, Range 27 East, W.M., Grant County,
Washington, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Counry Cominissioners of Grant County have been
advised by the Grant Counry Planning Deparnnent that the Grant County Planning
Commission recommended approval on said matter with findings, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County having said
recommendation for approval, have given notice this matter would be considered at a public
meeting on March 10, 1998, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have upheld
the recommendation for approval and fimdings of fact of the Grant County Planning
Commission;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal
does fall within a Critical Area as defined by the Grant County Resource Lands and Critical
Areas Development Ordinance, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have found
that the proposal is consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and surrounding
uses, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have found
that the proposal has met the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA);
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have found
that the proponent has presented suff'icient evidence that changed circumstauces in the area of
the subject property warrant a rezone of the property, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant Counry have found
that the proposal is not within the irrigated farm units of the Columbia Basin Project, however,
it does receive irrigation water fro� an irrigation well on the property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners of Grant County, Washiaigton do by this resolution approve the zone change
request from Agriculture to Suburban Agriculture on the following described property.
