HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 99-160-CC � ' a BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF CHANGING THE � Resolution# 99—t h0— ZONING FROM HEAVY INDUSTRIAL � TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL � RESOLUTION APPROVING A ZONE IN A PORTION OF THE NE 1/a, NE 1/a � CHANGE FROM HEAVY INDUSTRIAL OF SECTION 14, TOWNSHIP 18 N., � TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL RANGE 28 E.,W.M., GRANT COUNTY, � WASHINGTON. � Moses Lake Community Church of God � In Christ, Pastor William Graharrc WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Gxant County have been advised by the Grant County Planning Comrnission that a public hearing was conducted on September 1, 1999 on the matter of changing the zoning from "H-I (Heavy Industrial)" to "C-G (General Commercial)" on a parcel of property approximately 0.6'�acres in size located in a portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, 'Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the Grant County Planning Department that the Grant County Planning Commission did not make any recommendation on said matter, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County having received a copy of the transcript of the Open Record Planning Commission Public Hearing and application materials, have given notice this matter would be considered at a closed record public meeting on September 28, 1999 and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have made a decision to approve the rezone request from Heavy Industrial to General Commercial, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proposal does not fall within a Critical Area as defined by the Grant County Resource Lands and Critical Areas Development Ordinance, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have found that the proposal is consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and surrounding uses, and; VVHEREAS, the Board of County Coznmissioners of Grant County have found that a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance was issued for this proposal on August 10, 1999 and the requirements of the State Enviromnental Policy Act(SEPA) have been met, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent has presented sufficient evidence that there is sufficient need in the area for the types of uses allowed and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent has presented sufficient evidence that changed circumstances in the area of the subject property warrant a rezone of the property, Page 2 of 2 IN THE MATTER OF CHANGING THE • ZONING HEAVY INDUSTRIAL TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL IN A PORTION OF SECTION 3, TOWNSHTP 18 N,, RANGE 28 E.W.M., GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington do by this resolution approve the zone change request from He�vy Industrial to General Commercial on the following described properry.
