apply to IAC for ORV �unds

A resolution authc��izing application (s) to the Tnteragency
Cammittee for Outdoor Recreation (IAC) for funding assistance for
an Outdoor Recreation Project from funds available through the Non-
highway and Off-road Vehicle (NOVA) program as provided by RCW
46 . 09 .
WHEREAS, under the provision of the Non-highway and Off-road
Vehicle Act, state funding assistance has been authorized and made
ava�lable to aid in financing the cost of Education & Enforcement
programs, and the ORV Maintenance & Operation af ORV fac�.lities far
ORV and Non-highway purposes;
WHEREAS, the County Cammissioners of the Caunty af G�ant
consider it in the best public interest ta provide ORV Education &
Enfarcement, and Maintenance & Operation of ORV facilities within
Grant County;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Caunty Commissioners of
Grant Caunty Washington,
1 . That the Sheriff be authorized to make farmal application
to the Interagency Committee for Outdoar Recreatian for
funding assistance,
2 . That any funding assistance so received be used in the
provision of ORV programs in Gr�.nt County Washington,
3 . That Grant County will be praviding matching financial
suppart for this project as outlined in the grant
application.
4 . That any praperty acquired with financial aid through the
Interagency Commi�tee for Outdoor Recreation be placed in
use as an ORV and/or Non-highway road outdoor recreation
-� program, and, management and disposal of such property will
fallow such guid.elines set forth in the NOVA Program
manual, Education/Enforcement and Maintenance/Operation,,
March of 1999, and,
5 . That this resolution become a part of the formal
application to the Interagency Committee for Outdaor
Recreation.
