JONES WFIEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the Grant County Planniug Comxnission that an open record public hearing was conducted on July 7, 1999 on the matter of changing the zoning from Suburban One (S-1) to Neighborhood Commercial (C-I� on a parcel of property appro�imately three (3) acres in size. The subject site is la�own as Lots 5 and 6, Block 2, Astro Acres Phase #1 located in a portion of Section 34, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the Grant County Plauning Department that the Grant County Planning Commission made no recommendation on said matter, and; WFIEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Grant County held a closed record public hearing on the proposal to make a final decision on this project on Tuesday, August 10, 1999. WHEREAS, the Board of County Comxnissioners have found that the proposal is not consistent with the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and surrounding uses and; WI�REAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that a Determination of Non-Significance was issued for this proposal on March 5, 1999 and the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) have been met, and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponeut has not presented sufficient evidence thax there is sufficient need in the area for the types of uses allowed in the proposed zone classification and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have found that the proponent has not presented sufficient evidence that changed circumstances in the area of the subject property warrant a rezone of the property. NOW, TI�REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Conunissioners of Grant County, Washington do by this resolution deny the zone change request by Tren M. Jones from Suburban One to Neighborhood Commercial on the following described property. � Dane this �� �.1�, day of August, 1999.
