GRANT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington RESOLUTION NO. 99-89 -CC ORDINANCE NO. 99-89-CC AN ORDINANCE COMMITTING GRANT COUNTY TO I FINANCE ITS SHARE OF WAGES AND BENEFITS FOR A � THIRD SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE, AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO. � WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) of Grant County, Washington, have reviewed a request from Grant County's two Superior Court judges for a third Superior Court judge; and ' WHEREAS, the judicial position needs analysis showed a need for 4.78 Superior Court ' judges in Grant County; and � � WHEREAS, Grant County currently has two Superior Court judges, a full time Superior i Court Commissioner and a one-quai-�er time Superior Coui-t Commissioner; and � ; WHEREAS, the Board has approved a third Superior Court judge and has requested on � behalf of Grant County,that the Washington State Legislature approve a third Superior Court judge � for Grant County; and ; WHEREAS, Grant County is required to pass and adopt an ordinance committing Grant � County to financing its legal share of wages and benefitis for a third Superior Court judge; and ; WHEREAS, the Board will commit Grant County resources to finance its legal share of , wages and bene�ts for a third Superior Court judge. � � i i JUDICIAL BENEFITS ORDINANCE - 1 ORDINANC\JUDGES ! NOW,THEREFORE,THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DO HEREBY ORDAIN AND ESTABLISH AS FOLLOWS: I. Grant County hereby pledges to fund its legal share of wages and benefits for a third Superior Court judge if approved by the Washington State Legislature. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE GRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS adopt this ordinance effective immediately, PASSED this_�day of June, 1999.
