The Grant Couniy Commissioners session was called io order at 9:40
a.m. by Chazrman Deboral� Maore. All of the Commissioners were in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minuies of the preceding
session as writ�en.
_����� The Commissioners approved the Request far Transfer af Funds by
the Courthouse Faczlities Department #1 I2, Current Expense Fun� �a01 in
the amouni c�f$1,87fl.
��� ��-� The Commissioners vvere notified by the Auditor that employee
Shannon Falsiad reiurned to full time employment effec�ive Nov�mber 1,
2(}tlt?.
�r�,�� 3� The CQmmissioners approved aut of state travel for Jenny Ratigan
and Diana Wavra of the Juvenile Prabatio� Department to attend meetings.
���, �� �The Commissioners ap�roved the salary increase af Llonald J. Colsan
af�he Juvenile Probation Department to $2,043.90 pe�° month.
��-!�/�-��The Commissioners approved o�t af state travel for Undersheriff
11tike Sha� to aitend the Western States Sheritf" s conference.
���d�/ The �ommissioners were notified of ihe re-appointment of James W.
Young to the Grant County �e�undary Review Board.
�'�;, I�: . The Commissione�s approved the request by the Prosecuting Attorney
far a salary increase far Deputy Prosecutar Brent A. DeJang effective
September 1, 2400.
i�.�� ���'he Commi.ssioners approved the request by the County Clerks office
to participate in the purchase of a new recarding system far Commissioner
Seburn's courtroom.
�!.��.,���- The Cammissione�s received a complaint from Craig S. Maxwell.
The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Aitarney for handling.
��[ �. �I`he �ommissioners held a Public �Iearing and a motion was made by
� Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison thai Reso�utzon
Number 2000-1S4-CC regarding a supplemental e�ension in the 2000
budget of the Emergency Serv�ces Fund #102, D�pa�-tment #144 in ihe
amount of $2,$61 be passed. The motia� carried. �
����r�� �'he �ommissioners held a Public Hearing on the year 2Q01 budget
fa�r Gran� Couniy. After d'zscussion �vviih the Budgei Director a motion was
made by Commzssianer Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead to
cantinue the matter to a t�me uncertain. "�'he motion carried,
,�-��,.1�� The Commissioners he�d a Publie Hearing on the No�ious Weed
Board 2001 budget. A mation was made by �omm�ssioner Allison,
seconded by Cor��rnissioner Snead to eontinue the matter to a time uncertain.
The motion carried.
����� The Commissioners met wi�h BeneFax and noizfed them that Grant
Cc�unty was renewing their MSC Prem�ra Blue Cross Med.ica� and Vision
covexage for County employees.
As there was na further business to came befare ihe Board the session
was cont�nued until December 5, 2000.

in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
T�ie Commissioners met with the Public �o.rks Director regarding
2001 Az�nual Road Program, 2001 Budget reviszons, I0:30 a.m. Road
Vacation Hearing, Bid CJpening-Two-way Radios, L}evelapment
R�gulations, CulturaUArchealogical Suzvey-Federal Prc�jects.
��-� �`�� A Public Hearing was h�id and a motian was made by Commis�zoner
Allisan, seconded by Commissionez� Snead tha� Resolution Number �.000-
� 55-CC in the ma�ter of vacating a portion a�' Caunty R.oad 2 SE fram the
No�theast corner of Sectzon 17, Townshi� 18 IvTorth, Range 3� E., �.M. and
running Westerly along the North Iine of sa�d Section 17 for a distance af
1,020 �eet or less be passed. The motion car.ried.
��'�. ��� A maiian was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Commission�r .Allisan that Resolution Number 2000-1 �6-CC in the matter
of adopting ihe 2001 Annual Rc�ad Prc��ram be passed. The motzon carried.
��.�`,�'� j� ' The Cammissioners held a bid opening on two-way radios, and a
motion was made by Commisszaner Sne�d, seconded by Commissianer
A��isQn that ihe bids be referred to Public Works for their review and
recommendation. The motzon carried.
f.�:�-,/��--As ofthis date the Baard by a majority vote daes approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed zn the Audiiors Office 12/(�4I�040 in
the ioial amount of $3 52,131.74.
���-�'��The Commissianers wer� notzfied that the Teamsters Union was no
Ionger representing the Gz�ant County PARC effective December 3 l, 2000.
.` �j�f� �T`�e Commisszoners signed the Traffc Management Agz�eement with
Publ'zc Uiility 7�zstrict Na. 2 of Grant Couniy.
,�.��l���'The Cammi.ssianers signed tlie Payroll warrants list #118264 thrau�a
# l.1 � 154' far ihe mon�h of November.
���,���, The Commissioners held a Public Meeting in compliance �vith Section
25.12.430, Grant Couniy Unified Develapment Code, for the pur�ose of
considering the Department recommendation for each of the individual
submitted proposed amendments to the Grant County Comprehensive Plan.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Snead to initiate the SEPA process on the matters before them today as well
as staff proposals. The motion carried.
l�� ��� The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Theresa M.
Tomson-V�heatley of the District Court Department to $1,925 per month
effective November l, 2000.
���--�� The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Maria M.
Delgado of the District Court Department to $1,847 per month effective
December l, 2000.
t����� The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Maria M. Anaya
of the District Court Department to $1,847 per monih effective December l,
2000.
�;;�� /�The Commissioners appointed Bob Bernd and Vivian Peterson to
positions on the Grant County Housing Authoriiy.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until December 6, 2000.
December 6, 2000
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners
in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
j��f ,l�The Commissioners received the resignation of Damien Hooper of the
Planning Deparhnent effective December 20, 2000.
;� ,�.�/� / The Commissioners spent the day working on the 2001 budget.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until December 7, 2000.
December 7, 2000
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners
in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
1�C�� � A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000-157-CC commending
the Royal City High School Football Team be passed. The motion carried.
���f�3 The Commissioners spent the day working on the 2001 budget.
