for approval to proceed with pxeparation of a request for proposal scope of
vvork, and
VT�REAS, the G'tiVN1A Executive BQard �ecomna�nded appraval af
the Request for Prc�posal entiiled, "Dete��zninatian af I�ydro-Stratigraphy fox
Baseline Sampling Wells and Area Wide Hydro-Stratigraphic Mapping",
and
�JI�EREAS, the project to be completed under this Request for
Proposal would assist GWIVIA in correlatzng nitrate con�entratio�.s zn ground
water to discrete stratigraphic units within ihe GWMA a�ea and further
refine understanding of the ihree dimensianal distributron of nz%ate, and
V!JKEREAS, thzs type of znfonnation �s not available nor has zt been
compiled �ram any other source, and will enable GVVIVIA to have a greai�r
understanding of the nitraie a.nd groundwater situa�ion as it exists in the
GWMA area, and
W�TER.EAS, the request specifies the appro�mate cost of the study to
be $300,OQ0 ihe execuiive Board recnmmended approval af this Requesi for
