HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 00-112-CCBOARD OF COUNTY CONIIVIISSIONERS GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NUMBER A RESOLUTION relating to a supplemental e�tension in the 2000 budget of the EMERGENCY SERVICES FUND # 102, DEPT. # 144 due to unanticipated state andJor federal funds. 2000-112—CC WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of Grant Commissioners that unanticipated state and /or federal funds have been made available for the 2000 budget of the EMERGENCY SERVICES FUND # 102, DEPT. # 144 in the amount of $ 2,200 WHEREAS, RCW 36.40.100 authorizes supplemental appropriations from unanticipated state and/or federal funds after publications of notice of the time and date of a public hearing at which the supplemental appropriations resolution will be adopted, and the amount of the appropriation, once each week, for two consecutive weeks prior to such public hearing in the official newspaper of the county; and WHEREAS, publication of the requisite legal notice was made in the Daily Herald newspaper of Grant County on 9/8&15/00 and said public hearing was held in the Grant County Commissioners' Office, Grant County Courthouse, Ephrata, Washington; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of G�2ANT COLTNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that the 2000 (year)budget of the EIVIERGENCY SERVICES FUND # 102, DEPT. # 144 supplemented and extended in the sum of $_2,200 from unanticipated state and/or federal funds according to the following schedule of categories and items: APPROPRIATIONS EMERGENC3� SERVICES FFiTND #102, DEPT. #144 OFFICE & OPERATING SUPPLIES 525.6031.00 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 525.60.41.00 COMMLJNICATIONS 525.60.42.00 ADVERTISING 525.60.44_00 RENTS & LEASES 525.60_45.00 MISCELLANEOUS-PRINTING 525.60.49.00 TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS FINANCING SOURCE WA STATE NIILITARY U_S.DEPT. One of our goals this year w�s the update and publication of the county wide emergency response plan for hazardous materials, Emer encv Su�port Function 10A. With this intent and support from the Emergency Management Division oithe State Military Dept, we secured a small grant �or which the publication expenses could be met. On July 27, 2000, we contacted local publication firms and A&H Printers was the only firm with the full capability to publish our plan, Tha bid at that time for 100 copies is $487.50. The grant was approved for $2250.00 for materials, supplies, postage, printing and reproduction. The grant will also cover $500.00 expense for development of a web site and etc, to improve our public education outreach in this planning effort. At this time, I want to seek the Boards approval �or eYpending $587.50 for publication and mailing, other expenses needed before claiming the grant money c�n be handled within our budget, this expense is �xtraordinary, and requires your approval.
