The �'rrant County Commissioners session w�.s cal�ed to order at 9;00
a.m. by Chair Deb�rah Moore. All of ihe Cammzssioners were in attendance
wifih the Glerk afthe Board.
The Com�nissioners read and approv�d the minutes of the preceding
sesszon as written.
'`�' �� The Commissioners authorized the purchase �f a patrc�l vehicle far the
Sheriff's Uffice.
i���...t � The Commissioners signed a Special Couns�l Contract with th� firm
of Williams, Kastner & Gibbs.
�-��y �, The Cammissioners held a Public Meeting regarding the Preliminary
�lat Application from Maiers Development Caxparation for Desert Ridge, a
si�y-seven Iot subdivision on appra�mately 33.74 acres zn ihe Residential-
One Zane. The praject is la�ated near Pelican Point in a portiQn of the
Southeast Quarter of the Sou�hwest Quarter of Sectic�n 34, Township 19
Na�-th, Rarige 28 East, W.M. and a po�cian of Secti�ns 2 and 3, Township 19
North, Range 2'7 East, W.M, After conszderation of the request a mation
was made by Cam�nissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison to
uphold the Planing Comtnissian recommendaiion far approval of �he Plat
with the condiiions an� fand'zngs stated by Planning, and a requirement ihat
the fallo�ving 3 items propased be placed c�n the face of the Plat:
1. The Development sha31 pay the same dues as Pelican Paint
�ssoczaiion for development o�'ihe park
2. The Developer shall help fund the Pelican Paint Water Association
System and storage capacityr of thai system
3. All design standards sha11 be reviewed and app�oved by both the
Czty of Moses Lak� and Grant Ct�unty. The roads shall be
const�ucted with sidewaiks on ane side af the sireet.

Snead that Resolution Num�er 2000-3-CC zn ihe matter of appraving the
Desert Ridge Pre�in�ir3ary Plat, 1 67 loi subdivisian on 33.74 acres in the
Residential t�ne Zone in a poz�zon of the South I-�a1f c�f the South�vesi
Quarter af Section 34, Township 19 N., Range 28 East. W.1V�., G�ant
County, Washington be passed. The motzo� carried.
����� �t The Commissioners si�,ned Ok�.nogan County Resolution I2&-99, a
Five Ccaunty Joznt Resolution in the matter of the app�intment of John
Whiteear as a Trustee af the North Cent�al Regional Library.
��c.�,g,���� The Commissioners ap�aroved th� request by Sharon Kiehn t� extend
approximaiely �5 hours of her Annual Leave through Marc�i 15, 2040.

Tourtello�e. The matter ��as xeferred to �he P�osecuting Attorney for
handling,

was continued until January 11,2004.

in attendance with the Clerk of the Board,
The Commzssione�s met with the Publzc '�orks Director regarding
Resolution ---CRP Initiation, Bid Autharizations-Equipment & Vehicles,
Gravel Roads Memo.

motion carried.

of the �'rosecuting Attarne�'s 4ffice ta 1�0% c�f a secretary III.
����.� The Commissioners signed the Pub�ic �JVorks Claims Fund 'i�aucher
Approval # 12-1 through # 1 Z- � 32 in the tc�tal amount of �365,17$.46.
��/�,�-� The Comrnissioners held a Public Hearing, and a mation was made by
Commzssioner Snead, seconded by C+��missioner Allison thai Resoiu�ron
Number 2000-5-CC, Ordinance Number 2000-5-�� amending Chapt�r 3.60
of the Grant �ou�ty �ode and addi�� new sections thereto, relating to
pena�ty designatrons, collect�on dates, exempt organizaiions, defini�ion of
nonprofii organizaiion, and other matter� properly relating thereto be passed.
