AND ASS�SSMENTS FOR I`UNDING THE 2Q08
BUDGET OF THE GRANT COUNTY 1`10XI(JUS
WEED BOARD
WHEREAS, The Gr�nt Caunty Noxio�ls Weed Control Board has requestcd the Baard of
Caunty Commissioners to determine the �ssessments for funding the 2008 budget of tlie Grant
Caui�ty Noxious Weed Cantrol Bo�rd; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on December 4, 2007 at 9;00 am in the County
Comxnissioners IIearing Room at which time taxpayers wex�e allowed to appear and bc heard; and
W�IEREAS, after discussion a decisiox� was made by thc Commissianers to set the land
classi�cations ai�d assessrzients as follows:
Iz�rigated Cropland 20 cents per acre
D�yland Ob ce�lts per acre
RangelScabland 03 cents per acre
Minirnurn Parcels $8.00 per parcel
WHEREAS, the Board fi��ds that the cantral af weeds is a special bene�t to the lands witl�in
the dist�ict and the special benefits pravided by the Weed District and the Weed I}isirict assessment
abave stated is a special benefit ta the land within the District set farth in the assessmcnt and tl�at
they should be levied,
NOW, TEIE.REF4RE, IT IS HEREBY RES4LVED, that the above �ssessments shall be
levied ou the above classification and the Assessor shall spread the levy on the rolls and callect the
sarne.
