BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington � s�A7� �F WOpSHIN��� Resolution Title; Quit Claim Deed for USBR Resolution No. 2007 - ���- CC por. ofNW1/4, 514, T16N, R23EWM 1N THE MATTER OF CONVEYING ALL RIGHTS, TITLE AND INTEREST OF CERTAIN COUNTY-OWNED PROPERTY TO THE UNITED STATES BUREAU OF RECLAMATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to donate all rights, title and interest in certain county-owned real estate to the United States Bureau of Reclamation of the Department of the Interior, that was originally deeded to Grant County, recorded Nov. 7, 1990 as Tract No. 3, Bk 802, Pg 290, records of Grant County Auditor, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has deterinined it would be in the best interest of the public that all county-owned real estate within the NW 1/4 of Section 14, T16N, R23EWM should be owned and managed by United States Bureau of Reclamation of the Department of the Interior, and WHEREAS, Chapter 36.34.220 RCW allows if the board of county commissioners of any county adjudges that it is desirable and for the general welfare and benefit of the people of the county and for the interest of the county to lease or convey property, real or personal, belonging to the county, however acquired, whether by tax foreclosure or in any other manner, to the United States for the purpose of flood control, navigation, power development, ar for use in connection with federal projects within the scope of the federal reclamation act of June 17, 1902, and the act of congress of August 30, 1935, entitled "An Act authorizing the construction, repair, and preservation of certain public worlcs on rivers and harbors, and for other purposes," and federal acts amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto, for the reclamation and irrigation oF arid lands, the board, by maj ority vote, may lease or convey such property to the United States far flood control, navigation, and power development purposes, or for use in connection with federal proj ects For the reclamation and irrigation of arid lands. This property may be conveyed or leased by deed or otlier instruinent of conveyance or lease without notice and upon such consideration, if any, as shall be determined by the board and the deed or lease may be signed by the county treasurer when authorized to do so by resolution of the board, Any deed issued heretofore by any county to the United States under authority of section 1, chapter 46, Laws of 1937 and the amendn�ents thereto, is ratified and approved and declared to be valid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners donates and conveys by gift to the United States Bureau of Reclamation of the Department of the Interior, all rights, title and interest in the following described real estate: Page 1 t�ll that portion of tlle Northwest quarter of Section 14, T16N, R23EWM, Grant County, Washil�gtan, izacluded in the follawing described tract of land: Beginning at a point on the southline of said Northwest quarter, wnich bears South 89°36'44" East 675.90 feet froxn the west quarter corner of said Section 14; thence runniiag South 89°36'44" East 899.00 feet alang the south line of NW quarter; thence North 00°23'16" Last 660.00 �'eet; thence North 89°3C`44" West 660,00 feet; thence South 00°23'16" West 221.75 thetice South 28°59'37" West 499.18 feet ta the PO1NT OF BLGQVNING and there ternziz�ating. Cantaining approximately 11.2 acres, mo�•e or less, AND BE IT FiTRT�IER RESOLVED that tlais resolution to donate said real estate, as pxovided, sha11 be entered by the Board of County Comznissioners upon its journal and any conveyance executed pursuant hereto, shall be signed on behalf of the county by a majority of the aneznbers of the county cammission, and shall be aclmowledged in the mani7er presex-ibed by law.
