The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to adopt the Preliminary Budget for zolg as
submitted by the County Auditor (see above). The total is $i28,448,4i3.00. The final budget adoption
hearing has been se� for December g, 2or2 at 1i:oo a.m.
Commissioner Carter moved to close the public comment portion of the hearing. Commissioner Stevens
seconded and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. Commissioner Carter moved to
approve the Preliminary Budget for 2013 as presented. Commissioner Stevens seconded and the motion
passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. The hearing adjourned. (Approved, Resolution No. �2-

Open Record Public Hearing, Ordinance amending Ch. 2.04 of the Grant
County Code providing for Commissioner Meeting Attendance by
Telephonic Means
The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider an ordinance amending Ch.
2.04 of the Grant County Code and providing for Commissioner meeting attendance by telephonic
means. The Ordinance adds section 2.o4.ogo stating any member of the Board may attend and
participate in all or part of a regular meeting, special meeting, or executive session by
speakerphone or other form of telephonic communication by means of which the member can
hear what is said at the meeting and be heard by other persons attending the meeting. Provided
one Board member must be physically present at any regular meeting or special meeting.
Executive sessions shall not require the physical presence of any Board member. This shall not
apply to any record appeal hearing before the Board conducted under the Grant County Code
and/or Unified Development Code.Commissioner Swartz moved to close the public comment
portion of the hearing. Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Carter moved to approve the Ordinance as presented correcting the typo that
stated the section was "20".o4.ogo instead of "z".o4.ogo. Commissioner Swartz seconded and
the motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned. (Approved, Ordinance/Resolution
