WHEREAS, the following Grant County funds do not have an adequate level of budget
appropriation to malce all necessary expenditures:
1. Sheriff's Office Fund #001, Depas�tment #114 in the amount of $9,000.00 to cover
the cost of leasing an office building located at 1230 Berschauer Industrial
- P-ar-k, Ephrata,—W-A. — -- -- - -- ---
2. District Court Fund #001, DeparCment #102 in the amount of $4,500.00 to
purchase 3-new intercom units from Graybar for each of their separate front
counters windows.
3. Commissioners Office Fund #190, Department #001 in the amount of
$89,862.00 to receive an Emergency Solutions Grant (Contract No. 13-46107-
008) received from the Department of Commerce. Term is August 1, 2012
through June 30, 2013.
4. Commissioners Office Fund #190, Department #001 in the amount of
$34,829.00 to receive additional funds from a Housing and Essential Needs
Grant (HEN) Amendment B(Contract No. 1 1-46204-5 1 1) from the
Department of Commerce. Term is September 15, 2011 through June 30,
2013.
WHEREAS, these additional budget expenditures were not anticipated when preparing
the 2012 budget; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 36.4014U a public hearing, must be held to
authorize additional budget appropriations.
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of September, 2012 at 3:30 p.m., a public hearing was held
in the Grant County Commissioners' Hearing Room.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOAIaD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that a
budget appropriation in the total amount of $13 8,191.00 to be allocated to the 2012 bttdget
according to the following schedule of categories and items:

R� Budget Extension Public Hearings —(1) Emergency Solutions Grant and (2) Housing &
Essential Needs Grant
I am requesting the County hold an advertized public hearing for budget extensions regarding two
grants:
(1) The new Emerqencv Solutions Grant (ESG) the County has been awarded from the Department of
Commerce:
