GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN RE: WAIVER OF COMPETITIVE RESOLUTION No. �� - vs� � CC
BIDDING REQUIREMENT� DUE TO
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Grant County have been noti�ed
of a unforesaen circumstance beyond the control of Grant County; and
WHEREAS, such circumstance involves the infrastructure of the Grant County
Courthouse, and concerns the malfunction of the standard �re control system located
within the Grant County Courthouse; and
WHEREAS, such malfunction of the standard iire control system present a real and
immediate threat to the proper performance of essential functions with particular regard
to the Grant County Jail and associated personnel, and will likely result in material loss or
damage to property, and/or bodily injury, if immediate action is not taken; and
WHEREAS, RCW 39.04.280 authorizes the County to waive competitive bidding
requirements in the event of an emergency.
NOW THEREFOR�, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED THAT THE �OARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS �nds, resolves and concludes that the immediate
restoration of the standard fire control system located within the Grant County
Courthouse through negotiation rather than competitive bidding or selection is in the best
interest of the public.
PROVIDED: If any provision contained within this Resolution, or its application to any
person, party or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of this Resolution or the
application of provisions to other persons, parties or circumstances, shall not be affected.
