CLOSURE OF AN EXISTING COUNTY
ACCOUNT
RESOLUTION No. 12- (�� CC
WHEREAS, the closure of Account 118 in Fund 503 may be accomplished without a
public hearing pursuant to state and county budget laws:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREI3Y RESOLVED THAT the following fund is
here by closed: Account 118 in the 503 Fund(Insurance Fund Temporary Investment) and
the Grant County Auditor and Grant County Treasurer are hereby directed to reflect the
closure of said fund in their respective office records.

Insurance fund investment
We tall<ed about the nature of the Insurance fund and how it was going to have a negative balance most of the year due
to the billing only being done twice a year. Currently, with the instruction by Resolution years ago to invest the balance
of Insurance proceeds, it has created negative interest each month that increases the negative balance each month
when the fund is in the negative. In order for this to stop, the Commissioners need to do a Resolution closing the
Investment fund for the Insurance fund and be like the ATV fund that has positive and negative cash balances all through
the year. Please start the process to close the Investment fund effective July 15Y so we can close the fund off.
