They carne in today to discuss their friend's property(Parce) No. 170430000}that is that has been rezoned Light Industrial, His lot has houses al!around it and have a few people who are interested in purchasing it and putting a mobile home on it, but since its zored Light Industrial they can't. Commissioner Stevens asked when the zaning changed this housirg area to Light industriai. Damien Hooper, Pianning Director, stated the zone change waufd have occurred in 2000 with the adoption af the original Comprehensive Plan. The area from Nwy 17 to Maple Drive, the entire biack of lots, were re-designated to Light Industriai. The intent was the canversion to industrial use to accommadate the area, with the major roads and raiiroad in the area. Page 2 of 5 Grant County Commissioners Minutes Week of October 12, 2015 Mr, Hooper stated they could try to have the area rezoned with a Comprehensive Plan amendment. The proponent would have to try to get a majority of the property owners of lots in the area to agree to change the area back to Residential. They could not just change the one parcel, which would be "spot zoning", and that isn't allowed. Another alternative would be to pass a Code Amendment. This would take approximately 3 months. This would allow any parcel zoned Urban/L.ight Industrial to be able to move a residential home on the lot if they fit the criteria. 11:00 a.m. — 11:50 a.m. Commissioners at Road Supervisor Meeting (Public Worl<s) 1:30 p.m.—1:50 p.m. M McKnight,Assessor's Office Update 2:00 p.m.—2:20 p,m, G Goodwin, Discussion on Chelan/Douglas/Grant County Behavioral Health Organization--Conference Call 3:00 p.m,—3:20 p.m. J Smith, Grant County Economic Development Council—Gunpo City, Korea Delegation Visit Follow Up 7'UESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2015 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all Commissioners in attendance. 9:00 a.m.—9:50 a.m. I< Eslinger, Human Resources Update (Cancelled) 10:30 a.m. — 10:50 a.m. S Duffey, Emergency Management Update (Cancelled) ' 12:00 p.m. — 1:00 p.m. Commissioners at PUD Commissioner Luncheon (PUD Office, Ephrata) 1:30 p.m.—2:20 p.m. J Tincher, Public Works Update A motion was made by Commissioner Swartz, seconded by Commissioner Carter, to approve items 1 through 4 on the Public Works Agenda as presented, The motion passed unanimously. 1.
