COMMISSIONER� WORK SESSION A motion was made by Commissioner Swartz, seconded by Commissioner Stevens, to approve item 1 on the Work Session agenda. The public hearing was set for August gi, 2009 at 1:go p.m. The motion passed unanimously. OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING. BOARD OF E(�UALIZATION BUDGET EXTENSION The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing regarding a budget extension request from the Board of Equalization in the amount of $ii,i5o.00 to cover expenses relating to property tax appeal hearings. Commissioner Stevens moved to close public comment portion of the hearing, Commissioner Swartz seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Swartz moved to adopt the budget extension as presented, Commissioner Stevens seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned. (Resolutaon 1Vo. og-o69-CC) MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS Authorization of Canvassing Board Representatives - Auditor's Staff, to act under authority given in RCW 29A.6o for Faith Anderson, Sue Ramaleer, and Trisha Olson to act as representatives for the County, for the election that will be held August i8, 2009. The Commissioners signed the Grant County Payroll Picic-Up Sheet for August io, 2009. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers as presented by the Grant County Health District: Payroll Vouchers No. i— 4, and General Fund Vouchers No. 5— 68, in the amount of $i�2,444•40; as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. CONSENT AGENDA Commissioner Stevens moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Commissioner Swartz seconded and the motion passed unanimously, as presented below: COMMISSIONERS' OFFICE: Commissioners Office Vouchers Change of Corporate Officers/Stockholders Application for Midway Beverage, 6847 Patton Blvd. NE, Moses Lalee, WA 988g�, from the Washington State Liquor Control Board. Applicant is Scott L. Ramsden. Application for Added Privilege for Odom-Southern Wine Distributors of Washington, 5075 Randolph Rd NE, #B, Moses Lake, WA 98837• 2oog-2oii Professional Services Agreement for Coordinator and Facilitator Consultant for the Columbia Basin Ground Water Management Area (GWMA) between Grant county and Paul Stoker & Associates. This item was not signed, but sent to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review. Request to add Karla Storwick, Missy Lopez, and Lorrie Martin as authorized signers on the programs checking accounts. HUMAN RESO URCES Personnel Action Request for the salary, wage, and/or position changes for Elaine Carpenter and Cristopher Franl�lin, Developmental Disabilities Residential. Personnel Action Request Recommendation from the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for an exception to the hiring freeze and hire a Part Time Legal Secretary I position. This is on an emergency basis and would last approx. 6-8 weeks, and would be funded by their currently approved budget as there are 3 secretarial positions which are unfilled at this time. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS As of this date, the Board, by a majority vote, does approve for payment those vouchers certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.090, in the amounts of $56�,8i6.81 and $229,48�.2i, as recorded on a listing and made available to the Board. The Chair of the Board was authorized to sign the Bob Nordstrom (Weber Living Trust Short Plat (FU iz6, Blk 74)) File #09-5263-0�, Final Plat Submission and Review. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until August i�, 2009.
