ORDER GRANTING VACATION
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, were
petitioned to vacate portions of certain County road rights-of-way described as follows:
Legal description: The following described County road rights-of-way as shown in the
Resurvey of and Addition to Trinidad, Book 1, Page 61 of Plats, records of the Grant County
Auditor and lying in Section 18, Township 20 North, Range 23 East W.M.:
`� Second Street, the North'/z portions, north of the south half Vacated Second Street, north of
the east'/2 Vacated Broadway Avenue, lying north of Lots 3-14, Block 5, Resurvey of and
Addition to Trinidad, Grant County; LESS ANY PORTION THEREOF COMPRISING SR-28
RIGHT OF WAY (NORTHERN HALF OF SECOND STREET); See Attached Exhibit A.

WHEREAS, a notice of hearing on the report for vacation and abandonment was published in the
county ofiicial newspaper at least once a week for two consecutive weeks preceding the date fixed for the
hearing, and a copy of said notice was posted for at least twenty days preceding the date fixed for hearing
at each termini of the county road or portion thereof to be vacated or abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners did consider the report given by the County
Road Engineer, together with any evidence for or objection against said vacation and abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the above described County road rights-of-way are not useful as part of the County
road system and the public will be benefitted by the vacation and abandonment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners vacates and
abandons all interest in the County road rights-of-way described above; EXCEPT an easement along the
vacated rights-of-way to accommodate existing power lines, communications lines and other franchised
and/or permitted public and private utilities.
