Home My WebLink AboutResolution 09-040-CCBOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington RESOLUTION No. 09- 6`�� -CC ORDINANCE No. 09- p� �p - CC AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 11.04.03 5 OF THE GRANT COUNTY CODE BY ADDING CERTAIN ROADS TO THE LIST OF COUNTY ROADS IN GRANT COUNTY WITH A POSTED M�IXIMUM SPEED LIMIT OF TWENTY-FIVE MILES AN HOUR AND THIRTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR, AND FTFTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR AND, OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THER�TO. RECITALS: WHEREAS, the Public Worlcs Department (Department); via the plat process, has accepted several roads into the County system; and WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office and the Department concur with the request that the posted maximum speed limit within certain residential areas be changed and established to 25 miles per hour; and WHERAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office and the Department concur with the request that the posted maximum speed lirnit within certain residential areas be changed and established to 35 miles per hour; and WHERAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office and the Department concur with the request that the posted maximum speed limit within certain areas be changed and established to 55 miles per hour; and WHEREAS, the BOCC has found and determined that it is reasonable, advisable and necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the reszdents of Grant County, visitors, the traveling public and those otherwise uti�lizing public county roads and rights of way, and to change and establish a change of the maximum posted speed in certain residential areas to 25 miles per hour, 35 rniles per hour, or 55 miles per hour, as indicated below. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, THAT GRANT COUNTY CODE 11.04.035 BE AMENDED BY ADDING CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL AREAS OF COUNTY ROADS WHEREON THE MAXIMUM POSTED SPEED LIMIT IS 25 MILES PER HOUR, 35 MILES PER HOUR, Ogt 55 MILES PER HOUR, AS TNDICATED BELOW.
